この度の台風被害に遭われた皆様に、心よりお見舞い申し上げます。
厳しい状況が続く中ではありますが、一日も早い復旧をお祈りいたします。
現状を踏まえ、今回のイベントは観光の復興につなげる取り組みとして、島外・海外の複数の実行委員が主軸となり、リーダーシップを発揮しながら計画・準備を進める体制で実施いたしたいと思います。
又、引き続き八丈島の皆様のお力もお借りしながら前に進んでまいりますので、何卒ご理解とご協力のほどよろしくお願い申し上げます。

To all participants,
We would like to extend our heartfelt sympathy to everyone affected by the recent typhoon.
While the situation remains challenging, we sincerely hope for a smooth and swift recovery.
Given the current circumstances, we will move forward with this event as an effort to help revitalize tourism. Several committee members from outside the island and overseas will take the lead in planning and preparations, working together to make this event possible.
We will also continue to work closely with the people of Hachijojima as we move ahead.

24時間チャレンジん八丈太鼓とワイズメンズクラブ岡山（Y’s Men’s Club Okayama）は、による台風による被災状況の確認やイベント開催に関わる支援を共有いたしました。(2025年/10/21)宇喜田秀家ゆかりの地、岡山から支援を行い、復興やイベントの開催を応援したいとの声を頂きました！
平素より「24時間チャレンジ八丈太鼓」を応援いただき、誠にありがとうございます。
このたび八丈島は、台風22号および23号の影響により、家屋の損壊やライフラインの途絶など、多くの被害を受けました。幸いにも人的被害はなく安堵しておりますが、現在も避難所で生活されている方々や、電気・水道が復旧していないご家庭がございます。
12月6日・7日のイベント開催に向けて、私たちは準備や会議を進める予定でしたが、現時点ではスケジュールが不透明であり、状況に応じて調整が必要になる可能性がございます。
今後の最新情報につきましては、随時ホームページやSNSにてお知らせいたしますので、引き続きご確認いただけますと幸いです。

Thank you very much for your continued support of the “24-Hour Hachijo Taiko
Challenge.”Recently, Hachijo Island suffered significant damage due to Typhoons No. 22 and No. 23, including destruction of houses and disruption of lifelines. Fortunately, there were no casualties, which is a great relief. However, some residents are still staying in evacuation centers, and certain households remain without electricity or running water.
We had planned to proceed with preparations and meetings for the event scheduled on December 6–7, but at this time, the situation remains uncertain, and adjustments may be necessary depending on future developments.We will continue to share updates through our official website and social media channels, so we would greatly appreciate it if you could check them regularly.Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation.

第１6回２４時間チャレンジ八丈太鼓(16th 24 Hour Challenge Hachijo Taiko)

24時間チャレンジ八丈太鼓とは？
「24時間チャレンジ八丈太鼓」は、東京都・八丈島を舞台に、24時間休みなく太鼓を打ち続けるチャレンジ型の太鼓イベントです。リレー形式を採用し、参加者が交代で太鼓を打ち継ぎながら、伝統芸能である 八丈太鼓 の魅力を島内外、さらには世界へ発信します。
毎回、島の自然や文化を背景に、太鼓の音色とともに地域の活性化をも目的としたユニークなイベントです。
このイベントは、「八丈太鼓をもっと多くの人に知ってもらいたい」「島内外・国内外の人々をつなぎたい」といった想いから始まりました。実際、2021年には「島外・海外からの参加」や「オンラインでの参加」が取り入れられ、太鼓で繋がる輪が広がっています。
